Diamond Fertilizer is a favorite among beautiful lawn enthusiasts as well as agricultural

Dacotah Diamond
Fertilizer works with nature
and plants' natural abilities to grow healthier, more productive plants. Plants'
efficiency increases as the fertilizer helps balance the soil pH and encourages a healthy
growing environment for beneficial soil bacteria and organisms. |
The purpose for the development of our fertilizers was to let Mother Nature do what she
was intended to do with some assistance to get the soil back into efficient
productive condition. By helping nature balance the pH, and by allowing oxygen into the
soil, beneficial aerobic bacteria growth is stimulated. With loosening of the soil, plants
can more efficiently assimilate the nitrogen, phosphorus,
potassium, sulfur and other nutrients from the soil and air.
Do You Want Healthy Plants?
Most soils contain some measure of the sixteen elements essential for plant growth but
may be deficient in some elements thus affecting plant growth and production. Following is
a list of elements in our product with a brief explanation of the role they play in plant
growth and soil fertility.
 | NITROGEN - Nitrogen is essential to organisms because it is
the major constituent of enzymes or compounds found in organisms metabolisms that
mediate, carry and transform chemicals necessary for growth, cellular respiration, and
photosynthesis.
Plus . . . excessive nitrogen in the soil causes plants to put too much
growth above ground, that in turn may require more water to maintain. |
 | PHOSPHORUS - Phosphorus is important in plant growth, seed
development, maturation, fruit development, developing a greater resistance to diseases,
and in the development of strong roots. |
 | POTASSIUM Potassium encourages the development of
strong stems and roots and is essential for photosynthesis. It acts as an activator of
compounds that are important in forming starches and proteins in plants. |
 | CALCIUM Calcium plays a primary role in determining
soil pH. It neutralizes certain toxic acids which form in plants as a by-product of their
metabolism. Found in many soils calcium may become unavailable to plants under acidic
conditions. |
 | SULFUR Sulfur tends to replace the sodium of alkali
soils with calcium, and improves drainage and aeration. It also is essential for the
formation of enzymes important in growth, cellular respiration and photosynthesis. |
Are You Looking for Plant Efficiency?

Lawn Care Tips
 | If a lawn is not cut enough, it grows too thick, and then begins to thin itself out. |
 | If the grass is too high when first cut, it will turn brown for several days and the
cut-off tops will retard the growth of new grass. |
 | Vary the direction of your mowing by alternating it from week to week. |
 | Limit the use of herbicides and insecticides that adversely affect the helpful soil
organisms. |
 | For a very thin stand of grass consider seeding with lawn seed. |
 | Lawns generally need about 1" of water per week. It is best to deep water to
encourage roots to grow deeply for healthier plants. |
 | If your turf is compacted, aeration would be of benefit to allow air, moisture,
and fertilizer to better encourage lush growth. |
